Animal welfare & safety

Animals first, always.

Memorable animal experiences only work when the animals themselves are looked after properly. That principle shapes how every PetPass experience is planned.

Welfare comes first

Experiences are designed around the animals taking part — their age, temperament, health and suitability for the group — rather than around a fixed schedule.

Animals stay with their provider

Every animal remains the responsibility of its provider and handler. PetPass coordinates the experience; the provider cares for and supervises the animals.

Appropriate handlers present

Animals attend with the people responsible for them. Interaction is structured and supervised for the whole experience.

Rest, water and breaks

Duration, group rotations and rest are planned in advance, with breaks, water and a quiet space provided where appropriate.

Suitable environment

We plan the space, enclosures and setup with the provider so the environment suits the animals attending.

Adjusted when needed

PetPass or the animal provider may change or pause an experience at any point if animal welfare requires it.

Zero tolerance for mistreatment.

Anyone who mistreats an animal is removed from the PetPass partner network. We do not make veterinary claims, and we do not describe our experiences as therapy or as a substitute for it — wellness experiences are feel-good experiences.
